The key objectives of the grant facility are to:
- Utilizing grant funds to Increase agri- production and productivity by better aligning environmentally conscious businesses with the market.
- Promote agricultural development and market access, connecting private sector and buyers.
- Encourage sustainable land management through the use of low impact farming practices
- Connect producers with buyers to Improve food system locally
- Offer technical support and financial assistance to improve small scale farming.
- Consider & benefit vulnerable groups such as women, youth, & persons with disabilities.
- Ensure long-term sustainability of ILM practices within the business through
Category 1 – Sustainable Farming & Land Stewardship Grants ( Individual farmers and agri-entrepreneurs Grant Ceiling: Up to $15,000)
Category 2 – Green Learning & Demonstration Grants ( Schools, vocational institutions, and community-based youth programs Grant Ceiling: Up to $15,000)
Category 3 – Cooperative & Market Integration Grants ( Registered cooperatives, producer groups, marketplaces, agro-processors, aggregators, and logistics hubs Grant Ceiling: Up to $50,000)
- Individual Farmers – for protected cultivation and sustainable inputs.
- Schools & Demonstration Sites – for youth-oriented agri-learning initiatives.
- Cooperatives & Market Integration – for shared infrastructure and aggregation hubs linking producers to buyers.
Grant evaluation will emphasize economic and livelihood impact, market readiness, feasibility, and SLM adoption, with inclusivity bonuses for women, youth, and Family Island producers.
